Feeding the Edinburg Area
9AM-11AM on the first 4 Saturdays of the month
We have been serving our food pantry clients throughout the COVID-19 health crisis.
We have been enforcing the social distance rule by asking the client(s) to remain in their vehicle while we deliver food assistance to the back seat, trunk of their car or through the passenger window.
The Food Pantry ministry has consistently served the northwestern section of Edinburg and emergency food referrals for 20 years.
Our mission is to provide food insecure households and individuals nutritious food items that include a protein, pasta, rice, beans, canned vegetables, fruit, cereal and juice. Fresh produce and bread are also shared depending on availability.
We are thankful for the generosity and willingness of those individuals who share their precious resources with our food pantry ministry.
God’s Work, Our Hands!
For the year of 2019, the Food Pantry provided a total of 73,803 lbs. for a total cost of $6,641.39.
On behalf of the food pantry clients, the First Lutheran Church and the pantry volunteers, we would like to thank the Edinburg Lions Club for reaching out to make a difference in the lives of the residents of the City of Edinburg. During this month their donation provided 7,548 pounds of food for 311 families consisting of 642 adults and 408 children.
