A Protest against the Border Wall

At the Brahms concert, I was invited to attend a protest of the planned border wall to be held at the National Butterfly Center this coming Sunday, June 26 at 4 pm. Creative works are being brought to carry in procession and to add to a collective altar by the river. No speeches will be made. Demonstrators will grieve over the losses being faced and hope for the future of the Borderlands will be expressed.

Since coming to the valley, I have heard several complaints that mainline clergy do not show much support for environmentalists or for those concerned about immigration. I hope my presence will say God's people are concerned for peace, justice, and the creation.

If you are interested in attending with me, please let me know.
