Bad Driving Caused by Nearness to Mexico?
When Lynn and I flew back from Maryland, our cabbie, a man from Africa with a deep accent, claimed all the crazy driving in San Antonio was caused by its proximity to Mexico.
Later that evening on the local news, it was reported the safest driving in Texas is in Brownsville, not exactly far from Mexico.
I continue to observe that prejudice can come from many different quarters.
I was reminded of a poll a few years ago in which 85% of drivers in the United States said they were above average drivers.
