City of San Antonio Gives Money to Immigrant Aid Groups

Because of the large number of immigrants being sent to downtown San Antonio, the city council there has given money to several groups aiding the refugees in the hope of keeping these people off the streets and supervised. I heard the legislature was considering an aid package for cities so affected but the proposed legislation did not pass.


The current situation is a real burden for local communities and NGOs trying to help the migrants.
