Major Change in Three Days

I came back from the transitional pastors meeting in Robstown March 14 with the understanding the synod staff would be spending more time in the Rio Grande Conference. Those plans have now changed. The synod is not only facing the pandemic, but several pastors have announced plans to retire or leave the synod so far this month. The synod will not have time to send people to the valley on a regular basis because so many congregations need a pastor.

Instead, persons are being selected in each conference to help with the call process locally. Pastor Erbey Gonzales will represent this conference.
