Meeting with Trinity Lutheran Council

Pr. Steve Herzberg and I met with several members of the council in Mission today at a restaurant near Our Savior. Several items of interest emerged.

Pr. Judith Spindt is coming to the Rio Grande Valley the first weekend in August and she wants to meet with folks from Mission and Edinburg to pursue possibilities in cooperative ministry. Make a note on your calendar now.

The person whom we had scheduled to preach here the last two Sundays in June has apparently taken a position at a non-denominational church in the valley and may not be able to lead worship here. Stay tuned for later developments.

I was asked if First might be willing to change worship times during the summer so I could also lead worship in another area congregation. Has First ever done this before? How did it go?
