My First Edinburg Parade

Last night I attended my first local parade, an obvious source of pride for Edinburg. I was surprised how few local churches participated. When I was a pastor in Yorktown, nearly every church, including the one I served, had a church float.

Last night I was given coupons for chicken, dance classes, cell phone service, and products I had never heard of. But I received nothing from local churches.

Would the annual parade be a possible outreach opportunity for our congregation?
