Our Church v. God's Church

One of the major points made by the presenter at synod assembly was whether the church belongs to God or to us. Does our congregation focus on our neighbor or on the members?


About half of the worship was in Spanish. While our synod is predominantly English-speaking, the territory of the synod includes many Spanish speakers who are also God's children.


We were asked to consider whether worship in our local congregation represents all of God's children or just some. What might need to change at worship to show the congregation belongs to God?
