Thanksgiving

Many thanks to all of the volunteers who helped distribute 350 plates of food to those who came to First Lutheran on Thanksgiving. Several thanked me for what we were doing to provide food.


This was my last first event at the church. I have now been here a full year so I am now on my second lap and should be more familiar with what is done here.


This was the first year I cannot remembering attending a Thanksgiving worship service. My wife in San Antonio looked for an ELCA congregation having a Thanksgiving service there and found none either. Worship is no longer a priority on Thanksgiving, whether we like it or not.
