As First Lutheran Church and as an ELCA congregation, we believe that Christ came to be light, love, healing, a redeemer to those in need, and ultimately, an example for us. Christ came to teach us who God is. Through Christ we experience the abundant love and grace of God, a love and grace that is not exclusive to any one group of people. We are all beloved children of God as we have been created in the very image of God. Our calling as beloved children is to live and act and be as Jesus did and was extending unconditional love to all people.
